Iowa City Inaugural Black History Ball

In celebration of Black History Month, ICSC's Original Mature Groovers (formerly known as Elders of Color) are teaming up with local non-profit organization Sankofa Outreach Connection to present lowa City's first-of-its- kind Black History Ball.

The event will feature an art exhibit curated by the Ul Stanley Museum of Art, live jazz music by the Curtis Taylor Quartet, keynote speaker Dr. Ashley Howard, and food representing both African cuisine and traditional African American dishes.
